While I was working on my Dredd Spotlight series I learned about the passing of James Hudnall. At first the name didn’t ring a bell but then I looked up and found out he was the one who created the backstory for the post-Crisis Lex Luthor in the graphic novel “Lex Luthor: The Unauthorized Biography” and he set the standard for a lot that would be connected to Lex in future adaptations.

Focusing one a down on his luck writer, Peter Sands, we follow him as he tries to unearth the details on Lex’s past and what he finds ends up threatening his life and then…sending him to the grave! But his death isn’t the end but the beginning as it seems he left a clue that points towards his killer being…Clark Kent? All that and more are told in this tale!
