DC World’s Greatest Super-Heroes Holiday Special: Review

Following up their 100 Page Comic Giant Halloween Special, DC is now selling a Holiday Edition in their Walmart-exclusive format.

With the holidays rapidly approaching, DC and Walmart are adding to their lineup of 100-page “Giant” comics with a new one-shot to ring in the holiday season! Following the success of their horror-themed SWAMP THING HALLOWEEN HORROR SPECIAL, DC’s WORLD’S GREATEST SUPER-HEROES! HOLIDAY SPECIAL is headed to participating Walmart stores in the U.S. today and should reach stores by Sunday.

Like the other Giants, this special contains one new story and a collection of classics from various holiday comics of the past and it includes an original story featuring THE FLASH, along with other Holiday-Themed stories from the DC Vault, including the Eisner-Nominated BATMAN Short Story “Good Boy,” by Tom King and David Finch. The issue celebrates Christmas, Hanukkah, and New Years and contains one of the most moving Superman stories of the classic Dan Jurgens era. It’s a great read for any DC fan looking for the holiday spirit. See my full review below.
