Woke Disney Now Labels ‘The Muppets’ as ‘Offensive Content’

It seems that Disney has felt it necessary to put a warning label on the newly added classic The Muppet Show for ‘offensive content’. Five seasons of the show were added to Disney+ on Friday and the following disclaimer runs prior to each viewing:

“This program includes negative depictions and/or mistreatment of people or cultures. These stereotypes were wrong then and are wrong now. Rather than remove this content, we want to acknowledge its harmful impact, learn from it and spark conversation to create a more inclusive future together. Disney is committed to creating stories with inspirational and aspirational themes that reflect the rich diversity of the human experience around the globe.”

While previously praised for its depiction of diverse cultures, there are some moments that easily triggered viewers may find upsetting, such as a performance by Johnny Cash in front of a Confederate flag.
