Weekend: Box Office: Chris Rock’s ‘Spiral’ Leads & Angelina Jolie Bombs

SAW: Spiral Trailer 2 (2021)

Spiral, a horror film starring Chris Rock, is the top-grossing film in North America this weekend, earning $8.7 million, according to BoxOfficeMojo.com.

Wrath of Man is in second place with $3.7 million, followed by All Who Wish Me Dead in third place with $2.8 million, Demon Slayer: Mugen Train in fourth place with $1.8 million, and Raya and the Last Dragon in fifth place with $1.7 million.

Godzilla vs. Kong comes in at No. 6 with $1.5 million, Mortal Kombat comes in at No. 7 with $1.3 million, Finding You comes in at No. 8 with $1 million, Profile comes in at No. 9 with $700,00, and Here Today comes in at No. 10 with $500,000.

Due to the studios’ change of approach during the coronavirus pandemic, many of the films are now available on streaming and pay-per-view platforms which probably accounts for the unusually lower numbers.
