Warner Bros Discovery Spent $100 Million to Promote House of the Dragon


It may seem like Warner Bros Discovery is all about saving money, but the new CEO David Zaslav doesn’t have a problem spending it on content he thinks will make it back for them.


According to Deadline, HBO has already spent $200 million on the Game of Thrones spinoff series House of the Dragon, and now they’re spending another $100 million on a marketing campaign. That’s the kind of money a studio spends on a big tentpole movie, not a tv series. But it’s said that the campaign has already reached 130 million people in the U.S. alone.



So the people who worry that the new regime at WBD only care about cutting costs, it looks like they’re not afraid to spend the money when they feel they have something worth spending it on.
