Marvel Studios Now Has ‘Daredevil’ TV & Film Rights Back

Small Screen reports that the movie and TV rights to the Daredevil character have been returned to Disney, and thus Marvel Studios, as of Sunday.

Daredevil starring Charlie Cox was cancelled on November 29th, 2018. After that, Marvel Studios was unable to use the character in any of its movies or TV series until a two-year hold expired. This is how Marvel’s licencing deals with Netflix worked for all shows based on comics from the House of Ideas.

Daredevil was considered by many as one of the best Netflix/Marvel TV shows, with The Punisher and Jessica Jones close seconds.
