Beloved Batman voice actor Kevin Conroy will make the leap from DC animation to live action by playing a Bruce Wayne from the future in the coming CW Arrowverse crossover, “Crisis on Infinite Earths”. Can you hear millions of Bat-fans around the world cheering in unison?
It remains unknown exactly which version of Bruce Wayne that Conroy will embody. Naturally, we’d think this’ll be a live action answer to the geriatric iteration known to Batman Beyond viewers, which’ll no doubt raise questions as to whether Terry McGinnis will fight alongside him. Conversely, he could be playing the Batman who’s gone missing from Batwoman‘s Gotham City for the past three years, only he’s traveled back in time. Or, he could be a combination of everything just mentioned — or none of them.
Conroy is often regarded as being the definitive voice of the Caped Crusader. After taking the geek world by storm in the early 1990’s with Batman: The Animated Series, he went on to voice the timeless icon on Justice League Unlimited and as the aforementioned retired Bruce Wayne on Batman Beyond. In addition to those productions, Conroy also lent his pipes to numerous animated film and video games, including the critically-acclaimed Arkham franchise.
