The Batman has had a lot of production hiccups due to the coronavirus pandemic, but it looks as though it will be able to avoid the latest speed bump.
Prime Minister Boris Johnson has announced a new lockdown for the United Kingdom which will run from Nov. 5 to Dec. 2, with possible further extensions. This lockdown will run a bit differently from the previous nationwide one, however, as schools will be allowed to remain open, and those that can not work from home (WFH) will be allowed to continue working.
That last point is the one that will allow The Batman to avoid another shutdown.
Following the announcement of the lockdown, Culture Secretary Oliver Dowden clarified that where WFH isn’t possible, “travel to a place of work will be permitted – e.g. this includes (but not exhaustive) elite sport played behind closed doors, film & tv production, telecoms workers.”
The Batman is scheduled to hit theaters on March 4, 2022.
