The Walt Disney Company’s LGBTQ-themed “Pride Collection” fashion line is made in communist China, a country which still holds the view that homosexuality is a mental disease and recently announced a crackdown on “sissy” men in their entertainment industry.
Clothing items and materials received by David Ng and Jerome Hudson of Breitbart News, Disney’s “Pride Collection” includes clothing with “Made in China” labels. At least one of the pieces is made entirely of cotton, which could have come from China’s slave-labor districts, though this is unknown.
Disney’s “Pride” goods are aimed towards both children and adults and incorporates rainbow-themed themes superimposed on well-known Disney properties such as Star Wars, Marvel, and Pixar. The clothing line debuted this month, with the brand promising to give all revenues to organizations that help “LGBTQIA+ adolescents and families” until June 30, the end of “Pride Month.” Some of the items have messages like “Belong, Believe, Proud.”

After it was uncovered that merchandise from its LGBTQ-themed “Pride Collection” fashion line is actually created in China, Florida Governor Ron DeSantis’ campaign pointed out the hypocrisy of Woke Disney.
“It’s hypocritical, but it’s not surprising, that a woke company like Disney would threaten the rights of parents in Florida but would happily do business with the Chinese Communist Party – one of the world’s worst human rights abusers,” a campaign spokesperson told Breitbart News exclusively following the news of Disney’s “Pride Collection” line donning “Made in China” labels.
The corporation has declared war on Florida’s Parental Rights in Education Act, which prohibits the teaching of sexual orientation and gender ideology to children in kindergarten through third grade, including transgenderism.
Breitbart News also reported that there potential that Disney profiteering off slave labor:
[…]but the Chinese Communist Party (CCP) itself is anti-LGBT, restricting displays of “homosexual” behavior and ruling homosexuality a psychological disorder. Ironically, many of the same individuals who touted the false narrative on Gov. Ron DeSantis’s (R) Parental Rights in Education Bill, which restricts classroom-led discussions on sexual orientation and gender identity for children in kindergarten through third grade, seemingly came out in full support of Disney opposing the law — the same Disney that has its Pride Collection clothing made in anti-LGBT China.
Indeed, Disney continues to toe the line, vowing to fight to repeal the law. In response, Florida lawmakers stripped Disney of its self-governing privileges.
Although homosexuality was decriminalized in China in 1997, the Communist Party still holds a negative view of gay individuals and severely limits displays of supposed “homosexual” or “effeminate” behavior. In an effort to encourage manhood among the country’s young men, Communist leaders announced a ban on “sissy” or “girlie” guys in entertainment in September. A Chinese court found last year that the writing of the phrase “homosexuality is a psychological illness” in a university textbook used in Jiangsu province, eastern China, was “not an error.”
