Avengers: Endgame Awarded E!’s People’s Choice Movie of the Year

The 2019 E! People’s Choice Awards were a night to remember Sunday as Hollywood’s biggest celebrities from movies, TV, music and pop culture took to the stage to accept their trophies. Fans submitted over one billion votes during this year’s PCAs voting period and it’s time to reveal the 2019 winners list.

Avengers: Endgame was named as the Movie of the Year. In total, the Marvel Studios film was nominated for seven awards, including Movie Actress of the Year (Scarlett Johansson) and Action Star of the Year (both Robert Downey Jr. and Chris Evans).

Downey opened the ceremony by honoring Kevin Hart, who won The Comedy Act of 2019. This was Hart’s first public appearance since the dangerous car crash that almost killed him back in September. He went on to add yet another award to his trophy case after nabbing the People’s Choice Award for Male Movie Star of 2019.

“Well, look, I just got to come up here and open the show so I’ll just say thank you Disney, thank you Marvel, thank you Russo brothers,” Downey said, accepting the trophy. “And most of all, to the late, great Stan Lee, this is for you, buddy!”

Zendaya, who starred in Spider-Man: Far From Home, took home the award for Female Movie Star of 2019.
