Daredevil star Vincent D’Onofrio shared a short introduction (below) he made to the season finale of Hawkeye, thanking fans for their support of his character and for their patience in waiting for Wilson Fisk to show up at all.
The character, who appeared briefly in last week’s penultimate episode of the season, played a key role in the season-long narrative from behind the scenes and loomed large in this week’s finale episode. In the short video released by Disney+, D’Onofrio also wished fans a merry Christmas — which makes sense, given that they have made Hawkeye a “Christmas show.”
Last week on Hawkeye, the suspicions fans had long harbored were proven true, and Wilson Fisk finally showed up. His arch-nemesis, Matt Murdoch (Charlie Cox), made an appearance in Spider-Man: No Way Home, seemingly teasing a future for the Netflix-Marvel heroes in the Marvel Cinematic Universe.

Not everyone has been impressed with the finale:
Any of you Marvel morons catch what’s wrong here? This is god awful bad gun and fight choreography and display of martial arts. I’d never let whoever did this choreography near another fight scene ever again. pic.twitter.com/86QztJ7BQY

None of the terror and menacing presence Kingpin had on Netflix Daredevil was felt in the Hawkeye finale, not after his intro.
“When I was a boy” and “the ill intent” vibe were not present at all in MCU Kingpin. Hopefully that’s just the Hawkeye writers, because… yeah pic.twitter.com/TruYhprI5R

How very sad.
Short of Wandavision, it seems that the writers of the D+ shows, don’t do a lot of research into their characters.
