Bayside High’s doors are open again.
Peacock on Tuesday unveiled the first full-length trailer for its upcoming Saved by the Bell sequel series.
Picked up straight to series a year ago, the new comedy features Mark-Paul Gosselaar, Mario Lopez and Elizabeth Berkley Lauren reprising their roles from the NBC favorite.
The new series explores what happens when California Gov. Zack Morris (Gosselaar) gets into hot water for closing too many underfunded high schools and proposes they send the affected students to the most well-funded schools in the state — including Bayside High. The influx of new students gives the privileged Bayside kids a much-needed dose of reality.
Berkley Lauren and Lopez return as Jessie Spano and A.C. Slater and lead a cast that also includes John Micahel Higgins as Bayside’s principal and a new class of students including Belmont Cameli, Dexter Darden, Mitchell Hoog, Alycia Pascual-Peña, Josie Totah and Haskiri Velazquez.
