‘The Boys’ Star Giancarlo Esposito Rumored for Key Role in MCU

MCUCosmic has reported the rumor that Giancarlo Esposito (Breaking Bad, Better Call Saul) is up for a big role with Marvel Studios, and it’s possible he’s already met with them to discuss the character. There’s no word on who it could be, but as Breaking Bad fans know from Gus Fring, he can play an amazing villain.

There are some Marvel casting notices out there that could be what he’s up for, and many might remember that they were looking for someone around Giancarlo’s age for a role codenamed “The Benefactor”, described as a “mysterious and nefarious benefactor.”

It’s speculation, but if that “Benefactor” role did turn out to be an MCU version of Norman Osborn, casting someone like Giancarlo Esposito in the role would be amazing and a great way to avoid comparisons to previous versions of the character in movies. Others are wondering if Esposito might be the new Magneto for the MCU. What do you think?

So again, just a rumor. For now.
