Sonic Prime: Netflix Drops Trailer for Animated Sonic the Hedgehog Series

Netflix has just released their official trailer for the animated series Sonic Prime. Coming to the streamer next month, the animated series will further expand the Sonic the Hedgehog franchise following the success of the recent live-action feature films. A lot of excitement followed the announcement of the series back in February, and the teaser footage from over the summer, but this is the first official trailer.

Here is the official synopsis:

It’s the Sonic you know and love until an incredible twist thrusts Sonic into a new adventure featuring a reinvented cast and Sonic like you’ve never seen him before, where the fate of the multiverse rests in his gloved hands. Sonic’s adventure is about more than a race to save the universe from the evil machinations of his longtime nemesis Dr. Eggman and his army of badnik robots, it’s a race to save his friends, friends that he took for granted.

Deven Mack is voicing Sonic the Hedgehog in a cast which also includes Brian Drummond as Eggman, Ashleigh Ball as Tails, Shannon Chan-Kent as Amy Rose, Adam Nurada as Knuckles, and Ian Hanlin as Shadow and Big the Cat.

SEGA is executive producing Sonic Prime with WildBrain, Man of Action, and Erik Weise. The series begins streaming on December 15.
