Quantum Leap Reboot Gets an Official Premiere Date from NBC

NBC has set the official premiere date for its Quantum Leap reboot series, Screen Rant reports.

The creator of the original Quantum Leap, Donald P. Bellisario, is executive producing the new series along with Martin Gero (Blindspot), and Deborah Pratt, the narrator of the original series. Additionally, the reboot is written and executive produced by Steven Lilien and Bryan Wynbrandt, the writing team behind God Friended Me.

NBC has now announced that Quantum Leap will premiere on Monday, September 19 at 10 p.m. ET.

The series takes place 30 years after Dr. Sam Beckett disappears into the Quantum Leap accelerator. The reboot will follow Dr. Ben Seong (played by Raymond Lee), whose mission is to lead a new team in order to understand the mysteries of the original experiment and Beckett’s disappearance. Ernie Hudson will play Herbert “Magic” Williams, a character that appears in an episode of the original Quantum Leap in season 3. Nanrisa Lee (Star Trek: Picard), Mason Alexander Park (Cowboy Bebop), and Caitlin Bassett will also serve as crucial players of the Quantum Leap team.
