Now that James Gunn and Peter Safran have stepped in to lead DC Studios, the question of which movies and television shows will be brought to life has been on many fans’ minds.
In addition to a number of potential projects set within the main DC Universe, there are still a number of titles set within alternate continuities — including Dead Boy Detectives, a series that is set to debut on HBO Max. Outside of a few stray casting updates, details surrounding the series have been few and far between, but a new tweet from the comic co-creator, Neil Gaiman, might be here to help.
Gaiman has not only confirmed that Dead Boy Detectives is still happening and is currently filming, but that “it’s so good.”
Dead Boy Detectives offers a fresh take on a ghost story that explores loss, grief, and death through the lens of Edwin Payne (newcomer George Rexstrew) and Charles Rowland (The Lodge‘s Jayden Revri), two dead British teenagers, and their very alive friend, Crystal Palace (Last Night in Soho‘s Kassius Nelson).
