Kevin Feige REALLY Wants You to Know Ant-Man 3 is ‘Important’

Up until now the Ant-Man franchise has been the light-hearted, comedic-relief after the big tense movies in the MCU. Now Ant-Man and the Wasp: Quantumania is looking to change that in much the same way that Captain America: The Winter Solider changed Steve Rogers and shifted everything into phase two.

In a recent interview with Empire, Marvel Studios President Kevin Feige talked about the upcoming film and how Ant-Man has a legacy now in the MCU and if you look at the trajectory of the character, he deserves nothing less than to the be star of phase five. Where the previous films had almost no direct effect on the Infinity Saga, this film is going to be the true start of the Multiverse Saga and the Kang Dynasty.

He repeatedly stresses that the film will have a huge impact on everything going forward. Will all the hype get butts in seats? We’ll know when Ant-Man and the Wasp: Quantumania hits theaters on February 17, 2023.
