HBO has released one final trailer for their upcoming Game of Thrones prequel series House of the Dragon. The video, entitled Fire Will Reign, starts with the voice of Viserys Targaryen telling us that, “the road ahead is uncertain, but the end is clear.” And ends with, “The threat of war looms.”
The prequel is based on George R.R. Martin’s Fire & Blood and tells the story of the House Targaryan 200 years before the events of Game of Thrones. The series stars Paddy Considine, Matt Smith, Olivia Cooke, Emma D’Arcy, Steve Toussaint, Eve Best, Fabien Frankel, Sonoya Mizuno, and Rhys Ifans. The 10-episode series premieres on August 21st and will run until the finale on October 23rd.
