Emmy Nominated ‘RENO 911!’ Lands Another Season on Quibi

Quibi and Comedy Central Productions have announced that Reno 911! is set to return for an additional season on Quibi. Co-creators Robert Ben Garant, Thomas Lennon and Kerri Kenney-Silver are set to write and star.

The announcement comes on the heels of 13 new episodes of Reno 911!, which are currently releasing on Quibi, and two Emmy nominations for Outstanding Short From Comedy or Drama Series and Outstanding Actress in a Short Form Comedy or Drama Series (Kerri Kenney-Silver).

“We are thrilled about the pick-up, but we’re even more thrilled about getting to leave our living rooms for the first time in 5 months,” said series co-creators Thomas, Ben and Kerri.

Reno 911! was recently called “the most radical, subversive cop comedy in history” — unlike the deputies of the Reno Sheriff’s Department, in season 8 the show’s creators aren’t afraid to go anywhere or tackle anything.

Reno 911! is one of the top scripted series on Quibi, remaining a top trending show on the platform since its debut on May 4.
