Despite what you may have thought about the Justice League movie, it’s evident that the original cut was destined to be quite different.
The original director, Zack Snyder, has been quite vocal on Twitter as of late, revealing details on not only his plans for the Justice League film, but his story arc for the DCEU as a whole.
One of the most striking revelations is something he alluded to following a Twitter user posting some fanart.
The picture featured Superman carrying what appeared to be a deceased Batman.
Snyder responded:
"of course" pic.twitter.com/0qcOgFhhIM

“Of course”
In classic Snyder fashion, he left it at that.
Killing the most popular character in your cinematic universe so early is quite a ball-sy move.
It would have also been interesting to see what they planned to do for Batman’s solo movie, which was originally set to be directed and starring Ben Affleck.
While I personally don’t believe Snyder’s cut of the film wouldn’t have been much better than the disaster WB gave us, it would have been interesting seeing his vision out to the end.
At this point, I’m starting to think that a documentary on the making of the DCEU at Warner Bros. would have been a whole lot more interesting than their movies.
What do you think? Should we have seen out Snyder’s story arc, or should we just throw out the entire cinematic universe and start over?
