Rosario Dawson was already a fan favorite having played Claire Temple on the Netflix series Marvel’s Daredevil and the rest of the Defenders universe of shows. So much so that she was being fan-casted if there was ever to be a live-action version of the Star Wars: Clone Wars or Star Wars: Rebels series as Anakin Skywalker’s former Padawan, Ahsoka Tano. Seems that The Mandalorian creators John Favreau and Dave Filoni agreed with that casting and brought the actress on board to play the former Jedi in season two of the Disney+ series. An appearance that was well-received and is now leading to her own series as a live action Rebels sequel… funny how that all worked out.
Happy #AhsokaTanoDay ! Thank you @Ashley_Eckstein for bringing Ashoka to life for us all. It’s one of the greatest honors & privileges of my life to share this remarkable character w/ the world alongside you. #DreamTeam @starwars @dave_filoni @Jon_Favreau #BrianSipe #SamanthaWard pic.twitter.com/9JThoyrm6q
