Mainframe Comic Con is a two-day worldwide event, streaming online from studios based in major cities across the country such as Chicago, New York, Los Angeles, and Philadelphia. Streaming LIVE August 15-16, Mainframe Comic Con will feature celebrity panels (via video chat), comic shop auctions, creator interviews, live sketches and many more engaging attractions for virtual convention attendees. LIVE streaming panels will be hosted by some of YouTube’s top talent and broadcast on the Mainframe website, YouTube and on Facebook all weekend.
The Current Health Crisis has Resulted in the Cancellation of Conventions and Fan Events Worldwide, Leaving the Fandom Community Eager for Something to Look Forward to While Remaining in the Safety and Comfort of Their Own Homes. Hit the Hardest are the Thousands of Local Comic Book Stores Around the Country. An Already Struggling Industry, Comic Shops are Finding Themselves Having to Close Their Doors Amidst this Global Health Emergency, and Without Their Existence, the Comic Industry as a Whole is in Trouble. It is Out of this Need for Support that the Mainframe Comic Con was Conceived.
Mainframe Comic Con is a 2-day online comic convention featuring many of the top names currently working in the comic and entertainment industry. Each day features celebrity interviews, audience Q&A panels, artist alley shopping, cosplay features and live comic book auctions from brick and mortar LCS comic shops across the country.
Guests for the convention include cast members of Cartoon Network’s Justice League animated series and AMC’s NOS4A2, as well as comic creators such as Brian Michael Bendis, Tom King, Sophie Campbell and Kelly Sue DeConnick. Throughout the weekend, the convention will feature panels focusing on publishers including AHOY Comics, Humanoids, IDW Publishing, and Artists, Writers & Artisans, as well as subjects including “Kickstarting Your Comic” and “The Writers’ Block.”
All panels will be available to livestream at the official Mainframe Comic Con website, which also includes the programming schedule for the show, as well as the ability to purchase private meet and greets and more. Programming begins 12p.m. Eastern on Saturday August 15th and concludes around 8p.m. on Sunday August 16 and will be broadcasting from Chicago Comics in the heart of the Windy City with live remotes from all over the country.
