Let the Past Die, Kill It if You Must: The Fate Of Disney Star Wars

Phase 18 of the Geeker Gate states:

18. THE END – The new incarnation of the IP comes to an end. Since the majority of the customer base has abandoned it, there’s no more controversy or discussion about it. It’s over. The best case scenario is that the original IP is largely forgotten with the exception of a few die-hards who still carry the torch. The worst case scenario is that the new incarnation of the IP overwrites the original, and the original IP is forgotten altogether and overshadowed by the new incarnation in all future shill media mentions.

With that in mind, study the following image:

So here’s what we see in the image above.

We see multiple ships coming out of the original Stargate.  We see the Millenium Falcon, A TIE Fighter, an X Wing Fighter, and a Star Destroyer from the Original Star Wars Trilogy.  We see the Enterprise and the Klingon Bird of Prey from the first six Star Trek feature films, and the Romulan ship from The Next Generation; both of which were original productions.

But then we see the Battlestar and Viper from the 2004 remake of Battlestar Galactica, rather than the original Battlestar.

Back in September 2018, I wrote a blog post about how Battlestar Galactica had gone through all of the same things that Star Wars is going through right now, around the time of the Battlestar remake in the early 2000s.  And what we see above is the result of the Battlestar Gate.  The original Battlestar has been overwritten by the remake.  And the original Battlestar is forgotten.  This is the cultural fate that Star Wars is now doomed to.

Now, they didn’t completely remake the Original Trilogy.  But the Disney Trilogy was essentially a soft reboot, or a soft remake.  Remember, it’s not Luke’s lightsaber anymore, because Rey has culturally appropriated it for her own, along with Luke’s surname and Han’s ship.

And this won’t stop there.  Already we’ve seen them rewriting unproduced Clone Wars scripts, and rewriting what they can about the Original Trilogy in the Galaxy of Adventures animated shorts, in the comic books, and in the novels.  The overbearing feminists currently in charge at Lucasfilm are doing their very best to force the Original Trilogy to conform to their own wacko ideology.

Male gaze bad. Female gaze good.

This will continue until the original franchise is completely overwritten and forgotten.  Which was the entire purpose behind firebombing the EU.

Now I want to be clear here, I am not admonishing the artist of the image at the top of this blog post, whoever it may be.  I’m sure that the art was made with the best intentions.  I am only pointing out the inevitable effects that Star Wars Gate will have on the franchise.

This is why the writers are trying so hard to romanticize the notion of “letting the past die,” and making it cool to do so.  Because it’s so much easier for them to rewrite history, if you would just forget the history that you know.

Here’s a piece that was created before the original Battlestar Galactica was forgotten:

Space Battles - Battlestar Galactica, Star Trek, Babylon 5 Vs Star Wars

Thanks to Luke Skywalker for the tip.
