Bookmark This Netflix Secret Hack

Netflix, a service that streams around 250 million hours of video per day to around 98 million paying subscribers in 190 countries. As many subscribers are aware, Netflix selects recommended shows and movies based on what you’ve previously watched. Though you are always free to search through all of the available offerings, sometimes its easier to let the algorithm do the work for you. But if you’re like me, you may be craving some new options for your late-night binges, and the other people in your house who share the account may be skewing your algorithm in ways that seem to be limiting your suggested offerings. I invite you to check out these secret codes that Netflix has in place to unlock hidden shows and movies, and you may want to bookmark this page for future reference.

“Sometimes you just want to Netflix and chill…”

 

To utilize these codes, and if you’re logged into Netflix, enter www.netflix.com/browse/genre/XXXX  into your browser’s toolbar to bring up one of the thousands of genres in Netflix’s library.

“XXXX” is a series of digits you would fill in, such as 1089 which is “Mind-bending Movies”, for example.

If you’re logged into Netflix right now, you can just click any of the following and you’ll see the new suggestions:
