by Jamison Ashley

Creator Resource is a new website filled with tools and resources for comic book creators. The site was created to assist comic creators of all levels by providing information on page rates, copyrights, contracts, and more.

Each section of Creator Resource is designed to educate creators on the ins-and-outs of the industry with information provided by fellow comic book professionals. Creator Resource will act as a collective community of information provided by inclusive voices.

As the site grows, additional articles and databases will be launched on the site, along with resources like ‘Ask A Professional’, where aspiring creators can talk to a comics pro and get answers to help further their careers.

Creator Resource aims to be a one-stop-shop for information on all industry needs, with a focus on transparency to benefit the worldwide comic book community.

“The aim of the site is to create a community where we have each other’s backs,” says Stephanie Cooke. “Our industry is at its best when we lift each other up and look out for each other, and Creator Resource wants to help do exactly that with resources and tools that will help to educate.”

Creator Resource has been launched by Stephanie Cooke, Beth Barnett, Rosie Knight, and Eric Kim. With so many women involved with this project, it’s sure to be equally  welcoming to both men and women, so don’t be intimidated any longer about trying to break into comics.
